Lakusta was inducted into the RE/MAX Hall Of Fame in 2004, and now enjoys her position leading the dominant real estate office in the southeast Denton county area, both in closed production and number of agents. Lakusta served on the Lewisville ISD Board of Trustees from 1994 – 2003, serving as its President from 1996 – 2003. She and her husband of nearly 30 years, Mike, are currently serving as the Chairs of the Champions for Children Gala on February 26, 2011, benefitting the Children’s Advocacy Center of Denton County. Lakusta’s oldest son Patrick is a pilot for the US Navy, following his graduation from the US Naval Academy in Annapolis and his receipt of a Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering. Her youngest son, Jeff, is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and is pursuing his Master’s Degree in International Marketing Management at the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom.
